This Privacy Notice explains how Treehouse Studios, trading as The Glow Elements ("we", "us"), collects and uses personal data when you visit our website or buy our digital guides.

  • Contact data: name and email address you provide at checkout, on our newsletter form, or when contacting support.
  • Order data: products purchased, language preference, transaction ID, and download history. Payment card details are collected directly by Paddle and never reach our servers.
  • Usage data: IP address, browser, device type, and pages visited, collected via cookies and analytics tools.
  • Support messages: the contents of any emails or messages you send us.

3. How we use your data

  • To deliver the guide you purchased and the related receipts;
  • To provide customer support and respond to your messages;
  • To send transactional emails (e.g. delivery, password recovery) — legal basis: performance of a contract;
  • To send you product updates and offers if you opt in to our newsletter — legal basis: consent (you can unsubscribe at any time);
  • To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues — legal basis: legitimate interests;
  • To improve our products and website (e.g. analytics) — legal basis: legitimate interests.

4. Who we share data with

  • Paddle — our Merchant of Record. Handles payments, billing, tax compliance, invoicing, and refund processing.
  • Hosting and database providers — store our website, downloads, and customer records.
  • Email delivery providers — send transactional and newsletter emails on our behalf.
  • Analytics providers — help us understand how the site is used (aggregated, where possible).
  • Professional advisers — legal, accounting, and compliance advisers when needed.
  • Authorities — when legally required.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. International transfers

Some of our service providers may be located outside your country. Where data leaves the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

We keep order and customer support records for as long as needed to fulfil our legal, accounting, and tax obligations (typically up to 7 years). Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept in aggregated form only.
